Biography: Paul Wallace writes and broadcasts widely about international economics and business and was previously economics editor of
The Independent. His previous book on the City of London,
The Square Mile, published in Japan as well as in the UK, won widespread acclaim as did the accompanying television series which won a BAFTA award. He has made and presented programmes on business and finance for the BBC, ITV and Channel Four. After graduating from Cambridge, he was awarded an M Phil at the London School of Economics. He has also written research papers for Lombard Street Research, the City economic consultancy.
