Biography: Dick Grote is president of Grote Consulting (Dallas, Texas) and an adjunct professor of management at the University of Dallas Graduate School of Management. A specialist in human resources and performance management systems, he created the Discipline Without Punishment approach to solving people problems and has helped many organizations implement it. Prior to forming his consulting firm in 1977, Grote held labor relations and management development positions with General Electric, United Airlines, and Frito-Lay. He is a frequent speaker and writer, and also a regular commentator for National Public Radio.
