Biography: Jac Fitz-enz is founder-president of the Saratoga Institute in Santa Clara, California, known worldwide for its pioneering research and reports on performance measurement and improvement. He edits the Institute's
Human Resource Financial Report, whose data covers 9 million employees and 100,000 human resource professionals; runs the Institute's global network of companies that provide information for its annual benchmarking studies; and consults with leading employers around the world. Before founding the Institute in 1977, Dr. Fitz-enz worked for 20 years as a corporate executive. He has written three other books, including
Human Value Management, winner of the "Book of the Year" award from the Society for Human Resource Management. Dr. Fitz-enz holds degrees from the University of Notre Dame (B.A.), San Francisco State College (M.A.), and the University of Southern California (Ph.D.).
